aashoorah

I made myself a list of goals today. They range from short-term goals to long-term goals. I used to constantly make myself lists to track my progress in almost anything I did. I found I was much more productive this way and it always feels good to accomplish something. Iapos;ve been so dissatisfied lately with where my life is going. I never used to be that person. I used to be fine being a slacker and a loner. Itapos;s like constantly being told that these things were bad has finally gotten through to me.

Things havenapos;t been good for a while. Iapos;m not sure why I allow things to get so bad in the first place. But that seems to be my natural progression through life: I get depressed, I ignore my friends, I gain weight, I quit my job, and then I fix all of these things. Over and over again I go through this cycle.

So Iapos;m hoping I can once again start the ball rolling. I just need to focus and stay on track.

When things like the following happen, they make me smile and go weak at the knees...

nick sits up in bed at around 1 in the morning. Iapos;m watching gilmore girls because i canapos;t sleep. He has this wide eyed look on his face and i have no idea whatapos;s going on. "do you want to know how much i love you?" he then proceeds to stretch his arms out as much as possible, and says, "this much" he gives me a big kiss and then goes back to sleep.

After todays trip to Kew we stopped off in Ealing for some shopping, went to Majestic. We discovered Goldwater 2006 Sauvingnon Blanc. Itapos;s Kiwi, from Marlborough valley, about 9 quid a bottle. If it was French and.. Catch the drift... it would cost vastly more. This really is a superb wine, bone dry with all the character of a classic Sauvignon Blanc. For those who like such wines.... Try it.

I have the next installment of the Family Series written and ready to go...

However, I probably wonapos;t start posting it until tomorrow. I had planned on starting it today, but...I spent my day (a few hours of it, at least) getting tattooed. And, Iapos;m in a LOTof pain at the moment.

Good news though...the left leg is completely finished Which makes me happy

Going to see Jensen Ackles and Jared Padalecki in April...this makes me happy as well. The only thing that could possibly make me happier would be for ASH to come back to Australia. Which reminds me that Ishould email the organizer for Supanova about it again...

Short post, because itapos;s hurting too much to sit here for too long...but, Iapos;ll have something ready tomorrow

Have a good night

causes of smelly urine

I feel like writing something. I donapos;t have much in particular to write about, but itapos;s my journal and Iapos;ll do what I like with it.
I think I prefer writing to speaking. Most people who donapos;t know me very well would tell you that I donapos;t speak a lot anyway (you have no idea how sick I am of being the "quiet person"). Writing just comes out better for me; sentences look nicer than they sound, and writing means I donapos;t drop a "like" in between every other word. It takes longer, but thatapos;s probably a good thing - it means I have more time to think about whatever is being written. If I write something wrong, or that could be improved, I can cross it out, or backspace a couple of times, and nobody will ever know. The same canapos;t be done after Iapos;ve said something I donapos;t like.

Before I go and find some other way to waste my time, I have one thing to moan about: I mentioned last week that Iapos;d had my braces removed. I went back to the orthodontist this monday and they fitted a retainer, which is basically just a plastic covering that goes over my teeth. The only problem is that I canapos;t eat with it in, and I have something against doing this in public, which means I canapos;t eat at school. So Iapos;ve had to skip lunch four days in a row and unless I change my mind Iapos;ll have to until January. Wonderful.

Last Saturday the old Thursday hangout, Fireside Inn, closed its doors for good. Itapos;s being torn down to become . . . A bank parking lot. Discern the irony in that, folks.

So now weapos;re trying to find the next good place to go on Thursdays. Last night we tried Shenanigans, which has long been a clusterfuck of people. Last night was no different. At least this DJ is better. The girl that I was tagging around with, Crystal (sheapos;s entered into my phone as The Method), said, "Everyone here looks like a douchebag." "All the guys do, at least." "Youapos;ve got that right." Douchebags aside, it was still pretty fun. I left by 1:30 a.m. To go home and run a mile with the dog, then watch "A Woman Under the Influence" with Gena Rowlands, and write write write.

I am getting close on the novel. More than half a year of revisions should - if all goes according to plan - be finished by the end of this month. The next line Iapos;ll be re-typing in the novel comes from chapter 11 (of 16):

He wandered like this, along the curved roads of abandoned bliss for an hour or two before he found himself just outside The Yoon-Yun Hotel, his temporary residence for the three weeks they would be in L.A.
